The iPhone doesnt see the Ballistic Chrono

Needs fields to allow full reloading data. For example I tested 3 different 45 cal bullets But there is not a location for load data to allow tester a place to list data to show difference with different powder charges Hope they will add these loading features and Improve interface screen Overall it works well with Hardware it was made for.

App has not worked since day one.

This is just what the Dr. Reload ordered. Finally, a Chrono that will take advantage of the best electronics and smartphones. It is easy to use and share. There might be a little room for enhancements but this will meet the needs of 90%+ of all reloaders and shooters.

This really is an amazing application to have attached is a great chronograph. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this was a free application I could install on my iPad and take to the range. This application completely eliminates the need to keep track of your shooting sets for reloaders. It allows you to create sets, give them custom names, identify distances, ballistic coefficients, projectile weight, shooting spread and two separate notes fields. My only suggestion is that users have the ability to create folders and sub-folders for saved groups. I use my chronograph to identify and test proper powder loads. I wold love it if i could make a folder for a certain powder lot and then create sub-folders that would allow me to separate different projectiles and barrel lengths under that powder group. I constantly refer to my saved data for reloading purposes as well as use the “Share” button to share my results with my reloading buds. One other suggestion for an improvement would be to have the ability to share multiple saved groups at once. I ended up with 8 groups on my first shoot and had to email each group to myself individually then combine them on one email to send out to my group. Overall this is an amazing application that has been updated since my purchase of the chronograph. This is very important to me, it tells me that Caldwell cares about the quality and functionality of this application. Most companies create an app just to say they have one but come to find out it hasn’t been updated or improved since it was resealed. You can’t go wrong with this application, its simple to use and works like a charm.

App has great intentions but I cant get it to work when plugged in. Would be great for it to work properly.

just order the chronograph from amazon and download this app.hope it will be awesome like you said. Cant wait to do with that.

I just bought their chrono and was hoping I could manually enter the collected data. You cannot. Certainly it would be an added plus and, if the app worked well, it might stimulate sales of auxiliary devices to make the job easier. Guess I will settle on an Excel spreadsheet for the time being.

This app works great! The ability to send your data via text or email is awesome and allows me to archive it on my computer. Overall, the general operation of the app is fantastic. Its nothing fancy, but gives you all the data you need and logs all your shots. The ability to create and save different shot groups is paramount and really makes this app useful. The downside is, the app doesnt change to landscape view. This is a big problem since newer Apple devices have their headphone jack on the bottom. Please make it so it switches to landscape!! Also, I agree that data should sync with iCloud. Fix the landscape issue and its 5 stars for sure.

App works great but for Air Rifles we could use additional fields as we have a lot more data to collect and share. Also, we would like to share "Templates" with others and our own additional devices as well as share "Saved Groups" with our other devices. Such as I use both an iPhone and iPad Mini and so far cant even enter data from one to the other manually. This is the best and most convenient of the 3 chronographs I now own. With its Invisible IR LED Light Bars I have yet to see an error message.

I reviewed this before the update. Kind of upset you didnt add cloud sync so I can send iPhone results to the cloud and back to a larger interface like my iPad. So, one less star for you. Think about adding cloud sync. I like ability to take pictures but it wont access previous photos on the camera roll. It just pulls up the camera on mine. What about stored pictures?

I love having this feature to use with my chronograph. It was really the reason I chose the Caldwell chrono vs another one and Ive been very pleased. I can open up a new group and type in all my load descriptions and start to chrono them and see all my velocities, averages, high-low, spread, etc. Then I just email them to myself that way when I get home I can input them into my range log and load data logs. Very pleased.

Just purchase this because of the ability to use with my cell phone. So fare Im well pleased. I would like be able to get updates on bullets. Although l can input the info my self it would be nice to have it on hand( you never know what you mite need away from home). Over all a good app

App is ok but there should be an ability to create folders to help keep the data more organized. The gps doesnt always work to get the current temp and pressure.

Ive owned A Caldwell chronograph for a few years now the reason I bought it was because of this app. I use it on my iPad mini not only does it record all my shots velocity but power factor as well. Once you set up the bullet type your using, it automatically puts in the ballistic coefficient allowing the app to add other information. I like the ability to photograph your target as well so you can see how well you did later on.

I just received my Caldwell about a week ago and am happy with it and the software works good BUT this App only needs......some way to sync with my other devices, preferably using Dropbox or iCloud. Other then that its I like it.

Ambient temperature and barometric pressure seem to be filled in automatically, possibly by looking up based on the entered zip code. Im shooting at 4300 feet elevation, not sea level, so my actual barometric pressure is lower than the corrected-to-sea-level value reported by the app. And it cannot be edited to correct it. Temperature is likewise filled in and not editable. But it works with my iPad and Im sure Ill figure out where theyve hidden the email function. Would be nice to send app feedback from within the app too.

First, they use the Bluetooth icon. This is a cable system, it is NOT Bluetooth – different system. Second the cable doesnt work with my new iPhone 6. Really no excuse for this.

The app. wont connect to my chrony and I cant seem to find any support or website or help of any sort. Chronograph works but just plum will not connect after following all instructions for hours. Maybe mines broken and others are not having this issue.

Chronograph works perfect with app. IR screens works great for indoor use.
